Watching ‘Not Another Happy Ending’

Not-Another-Happy-EndingToday, I decided to watch some movies in between works. Not that I can finish the whole movie at once but I could–like–sit and watch about 5 to 10 minutes and went back to work. Just to clear my mind, you know.

I looked for “romantic comedy hollywood movies” at YouTube.com. Yes, those were the keywords I used. And there were several options. But I ended up choosing ‘Not Another Happy Ending,’ a British movie. I know it was Hollywood I was looking for but the video title used the words “Comedy UK Movie 2013” and it was rather catchy for me.

And, when I found out that it was a movie about a writer, I got more excited. I haven’t finished it yet, of course, with my workload and errands etc. But it gave a tickling sensation in the brain, reminding me that it’s been so long since the last time I really wrote to simply write. Know what I mean?

My daily job is writing screenplay for some TV series. Usually the plots were provided. Or sometimes I only supervise the writing. So, it’s kinda different than writing itself.

I wanted to feel the sensation that Jane Lockhart (the main character of ‘Not Another Happy Ending’) felt when she sat down in front of her macbook — and no, it’s not about the macbook, but the writing. I miss that. As I said, not the macbook, I never had one.

I wonder when I have such chance again. I even believe that my writing capability is draining. Sad, but true. It’s like things are mixed up in my mind.

Anyway, as I said, I haven’t finished watching the movie. So, it’s not a review. It’s more like my sharing of what I feel, watching the movie. So far so good though. I love Jane’s hair and how Tom (the second main character) spoke French, ’cause I understood, yippie! I haven’t lost all my French!

So, let me go back to my writing. But before, I will add ‘Not Another Happy Ending’ into my “Watch Later” playlist on my YouTube account. 🙂

Have a fab Friday Night!

Update (Saturday Morning, February 8, 2016): The first half was interesting, but the rest was…well, so-so. I mean, it could be more compelling between Jane and Tom.
