Do you know this song from the 80’s Sometimes Late at Night?

Songs from the 80’s always make me feel nostalgically warm inside. One of the songs is “Sometimes Late at Night” by West Street Mob from 1982. Well, actually the song was first released by Carole Bayer Sager, but I like the Web Street Mob version better — besides the fact that the later was the one I listened to at the radio here in Indonesia.

This is the Web Street Mob version:

The lyrics are somehow not that clearly pronounced so I looked for the words on the net. But, they are all useless.

Then, I found the correct lyrics of Sometimes Late at Night:

Sometimes late at night you say you love me
Even if you don’t, well I guess that it don’t matter
Very much at all
Sometimes it don’t matter at all

There are times you’re just so far above me
I don’t know who you are
And I wonder did I put you there to watch you fall
Sometimes it don’t matter at all

I’ll keep on, I’ll hold on
Even though I don’t know how we’ll end
And I could spend this life of mine with you
And I’d still have more to give you

I’m trying, believe me
Even though I don’t know how we’ll end
And I could spend this life of mine with you
And I’d still have more to give you

Sometimes late at night you say you love me
Maybe you still do
Or maybe you just say those things I can’t recall
Did you ever love me at all

I’ll keep on, I’ll hold on
Even though I don’t know how we’ll end
And I could spend this life of mine with you
And I’d still have more to give you

I’m trying, believe me
Even though I don’t know how we’ll end
And I could spend this life of mine with you
And I’d still have more to give you

And, at discogs.com, I found out that the song was released in Spain.

Do you also love the song? Let’s sing along, then. 🙂
